Kian, a student with a part-time job, faced two major challenges when it came to working out: limited equipment and limited funds.

Kian didn’t let these obstacles stop him from achieving his fitness goals. He began building his home gym at the age of 17 with just a couple thousand dollars in his bank account.

The Turning Point

Kian’s turning point came during a football tournament in Florida. Seeing himself in the mirror, he realized he was out of shape and not in good enough condition to play football. After returning home and being quarantined due to the pandemic, Kian decided to invest in a home gym.

Starting Small

Kian started small, purchasing a rack, bench, and weights. However, being young and frugal at the time, Kian had to replace the majority of his equipment as it wasn’t of the best quality.

He began his home gym journey in his basement and eventually moved it to the garage after upgrading his equipment.

The Benefits of a Home Gym

For Kian, having his own home gym has been a game-changer. He now works out 5-6 days a week, every week since he got it.

Having easy access to his gym has kept him committed to his fitness routine.

Being able to control the atmosphere, music, and his thoughts while working out is something he enjoys immensely.

Advice for Building a Home Gym

Kian’s advice to anyone looking to build a home gym is to buy good quality equipment, even if it means spending more money.

The investment will pay off in the long run, and having a space that is tailored to your needs and preferences can be a game-changer in achieving your fitness goals.
