The Humble Beginnings
It all started in Jason’s small basement with just a rack, a bar, some weights, and an elliptical machine. With limited space and budget, he started small and gradually added more equipment over time. As his collection grew, he realized that he needed more space to accommodate his expanding gym. So, he moved it to his garage, where he could enjoy the fresh air while working out.
When it comes to his workout routine, Jason usually follows the push-pull-legs split but sometimes switches to the bro split (dividing workouts by muscle groups) from time to time. His ultimate goal is to look good and feel good. He prefers to stay in the 6-12 rep range and doesn’t usually go heavier than that.
Challenges Along the Way
Building a home gym is not without its challenges, and Jason faced his fair share of obstacles. One of the biggest challenges was money and space. As his collection grew, he had to find creative ways to store his equipment in his limited space. He also had to be mindful of his budget and make smart decisions when purchasing new equipment.
