How To Build a Home Gym for $5,495 with Facebook Marketplace

  • Building a home gym doesn’t have to be expensive; equipment from marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace can save you thousands of dollars.
  • By purchasing used equipment and refurbishing it yourself, you can create a personalized workout space that fits your needs and budget.

Nick was able to build a $5,495 home gym that’s worth double by purchasing used equipment and refurbishing it himself.

Not only did he save money, but also had the satisfaction of creating a one-of-a-kind workout space that fits his needs and budget.

With a little bit of elbow grease, he was able to bring old, worn equipment back to life. Whether it was repainting a bench or fixing a weight machine, the end result is a fully functional and personalized home gym.

By utilizing Facebook Marketplace, he was able to find high-quality equipment at a fraction of the cost of buying new. And with a little bit of effort, he was able to save even more money by refurbishing the equipment.

About The Owner

Nick is a veteran with 9 years of military experience and a passion for fitness, particularly powerlifting (which is why he has a dedicated deadlift area and plenty of 45lb plates).

Since purchasing his house, he’s been torn between creating a home gym or going to a maintenance shop. Ultimately, he decided on a home gym, partly because he has a newborn at home and it didn’t feel right to leave his wife alone with the baby while he went to the gym. Plus, his wife is loving the home gym setup so far!
